It has a huge historical importance because of Hindu and Buddhist cultures prevalent in this center that is of international importance. Presently, it is dominated by the Muslim community and is well known tourist spot. Tourists from across the world visit Java, which is considered as the national pride of Indonesia. You can even reach directly here from the airport in Jakarta. In case your schedule is not reserved, you can visit different museums in Indonesia to have a glimpse of history.
Shopping Information
You must have found Jakarta Nightlife magnificent. But, there are still more activities left for you that are even more magnificent. Children will find shopping in Indonesian cities to be a great relief for them after maintaining hectic schedules of their schools back home. Ideally, you should see this place in June. Before visiting Indonesia during any month of 2010, find important locations like parks beforehand on the map so that you can save your time. You can even take the assistance of the local tourist information service that will help you as part of your shopping project.
Jakarta Nightlife
Although the country is predominantly Muslim, there is no shortage of nightlife and entertainment. As you might expect, the city’s five-star hotels feature upscale nightclubs and wine bars, where live entertainment accompanies immaculately put-together drinks. These include the ‘Fountain Lounge’ at the Grand Hyatt. Like Bangkok, Jakarta offers, or some would say suffers from a juxtaposition of upscale establishments and venues laced with sleaze and a dash of sauciness.
Tourists can be found knocking back beers in Bintang in one of the cafés at the Jalan Jaksa, a popular choice due to its chilled-out ambience and appealing prices. Kenanag is considered to be a fashionable area favoured by trendy young professionals and media types. Ancol offers a beach-bar like setting, a welcome respite from the chaos of the city. Kota is a district you will either avoid at all costs or go out of your way to discover on your first evening in town – the equivalent of Bangkok’s, Patpong… it’s a tad seedy to say the least.
Jakarta has a huge concentration of live music venues, with grunge, jazz, ballads classic rock and soul bands.
Blok M, South Jakarta
Less developed and modern than other areas of Jakarta, Blok M is home to the city’s biggest bus terminus, thus easily accessed. Due to the low rents in the area, there are favourable prices for drinking and eating here. Popular with backpackers and those looking for a cheap night out, the vivacious area basically revolves around Falatehan Street, where there are many venues.
To say that this area is relatively lawless might be an exaggeration but this is definitely the place to go if you like to drink until the sun comes up. Situated near Kebayoran Baru, finding Blok M is easy as almost every cab driver knows it. For a more off-the-beaten-track experience head a few blocks down to Jl. Melawai 6 (opposite Plaza Blok M), Jakarta's de-facto Little Japan with lots of Japanese restaurants, bars and karaoke joints.

Gang Signs And Symbols
Parent and teachers, learn common signs and symbols of gangs. Learn how gangs use color of clothing, hand gestures, tattoos and graffiti.
If you are parent or teacher and you think that gangs couldn't be present in your neighborhood, think again. Though gangs are more prevalent in larger cities, they are rapidly expanding into smaller cities and towns. How exactly do you distinguish a gang? The Federal Bureau of Investigation, or the FBI, describes a street gang as, "A criminal enterprise having an organizational structure, acting as a continuing criminal conspiracy, which employs violence and any other criminal activity to sustain the enterprise." In other words, a gang is an organization whose purpose is criminal activity and violence.
Most street gangs are made up of teens and young adults that act together to commit criminal acts. Most gangs, but not all, sell drugs. Others commit other crimes to support themselves and the gang, such as robberies and prostitution. Usually, a gang claims a certain neighborhood, street or area as their "turf," and they defend it as if at war for the property. Each gang has their own laws and customs within the gang. Gangs can be identified by their clothing, the way they wear it, as well as the colors, tattoos, graffiti and hand signs.
CLOTHING
Some gangs adhere to strict dress codes. A common gang "uniform" consists of khaki pants with sharp creases ironed down the front of each leg, a white T-shirt worn under a plaid flannel shirt, and a bandana. The way the clothing is worn and the color of the clothing varies with the individual gangs. For example, members of some Hispanic gangs wear their shirts buttoned only at the collar, while black gangs wear their shirts open.
Certain gangs also favor one side of their bodies. For example one gang may favor the left side of their bodies by wearing their hats turned towards the left, the left leg of their pants rolled up and a bandana on their left side. While their rival gang will favor the right side of their bodies and wear the same type of clothing, on the right side of their bodies.
Gangs openly wear their signifying clothing. Some of the styles the gangs display include:
Baseball hats:
Red or Blue, also Professional sport teams logos
Worn towards one side or backwards
Bandanas:
Worn on the head, tied to a belt loop or sticking out of a pocket
Red signifies a Blood gang
Blue signifies a Crips gang
Shirts:
White T-shirts worn under plaid shirts, worn open or button only at the collar.
Pants / Shoes:
Jeans or pressed Khakis
Colored Shoelaces
One pant leg is rolled up
Baggy, oversized pants with boxers showing
TATTOOS
Tattoos are not a tell-tale sign that the wearer is a gang member. Though many gang members do wear tattoos, some do not. Hispanic gangs frequently tattoo their arms, hands, shoulders, stomachs, back of necks and backs. The tattoo may be small or large enough to cover the entire back or stomach. Often, the gang member will have the name of his or her gang tattooed somewhere on their bodies.
Unlike many Hispanic gangs, black gang members do not usually use tattoos to identify their gang membership.
TATTOOS
Some are self- inflicted
Some are very elaborate "artwork"
Teardrops, Spider Webs (On Neck or Next to Thumb)
Tattoos or words on knuckles
Gang names tattooed on body (Back of neck, stomach, back, arms)
HAND SIGNS
Most gangs use hand signs to identify their gang and as a form of communication. Hand signs are also used to "flash" a warning or a threat to rival gangs. Some gangs have elaborate hand and body signals, so advanced, that they can have complete conversations without saying a word. These signs are frequently used when they don't want others to know what they are about to do.
GRAFFITI
Gang related graffiti may be the first sign that there are gangs in the community. Gangs use graffiti as their "newspapers," their way of marking boundaries and warning rival gangs. Graffiti may also be used to advertise the selling of drugs. Or as a means of erecting a memorial to a killed gang member.
Some gang related graffiti signs include:
Crowns
Stars
Hearts
Pitchforks
Artistic drawings of gang's name
Hard to read-lettering
What are some other signs that signify gang involvement?
1. Friends are known or believed to be gang members
2. TATTOOS, possibly self-inflicted
3. Using a nickname or attaching a prefix or "pet" name to their own name
4. Gang graffiti on school books or book backs
5. Using hand signals when talking to their friends
6. Spending a lot of time away from home
7. Having money or material possessions that they shouldn't have.
8. Showing signs of physical injuries with a poor excuse for how they got them (could be the result of being "jumped in")
9. Getting in trouble with the law
10. Losing interest or dropping out of school
If someone displays one or even several of these signs, it does not necessarily mean that they are in a gang. The Rap Music culture has made the wearing of baggy, over-sized clothing popular among teenagers. Clothing alone should not be a sole basis for determining gang activity. For more information on gangs or for specific information on gang activity in your area, contact your local police department.

Do I have these items in my house?
All you need to whiten your teeth are simple household products. Ok, first go to the kitchen. Open the cupboard where you keep your baking supplies. Do you have baking soda? You probably do. Spoon about two teaspoons of baking soda into a little bowl or cup. Now, travel over to the nearest bathroom. Open the medicine chest. Do you have hydrogen peroxide? You probably have this common household item, too.
How do I make this paste?
Drop two or three teaspoons (this may not be exact) of the hydrogen peroxide into the baking soda, making a paste. This sometimes takes a little trial and error. Be sure it is the same consistency as toothpaste. If you wish, you can add a bit of mint flavoring or even a small dollop of toothpaste.

Brush your teeth with your mixture, being sure to leave it on your teeth for at least two minutes. Do NOT swallow this paste! Trust me, you wouldn't want to swallow it- the taste is not the best. To make the paste taste better, try to use the above tips. This will help to make the taste a little bit tastier.

Stain Removal Tips: Removing Latex Paint From Carpet/Upholstery
Tips for removing latex-based paint from your rugs and upholstered furniture.
Even the neatest of house painters can have an accident once in a while. A drop cloth can be accidentally moved or there's too much paint on the brush causing drips. There's even the occasional spill. Sometimes folks mistakenly believe that paint on the carpet or upholstery automatically means the end for that particular piece. This couldn't be farther from the truth. Latex paint is easily removed from fabric. Before you roll up that carpet or place your couch on the curb, try one of these tips for removing latex-based paint from your rugs and upholstered furniture.
As with any stain, the first line of defense is to act quickly. The longer you wait, the deeper the stain will set. Do your best not to wait until the stain has dried. Take a paper towel or clean rag and blot until no more of the paint can be lifted from the stain. Never rub a stain. Not only will rubbing cause the stain to spread, but it will also rub the staining material deeper into the fabric, making it harder to clean. Rubbing also weakens the fibers of the carpet or upholstery, which will make it wear out quicker. Always blot stains gently.
If there is still paint in the carpet or furniture, try this solution. Take one teaspoon of a mild dish detergent (one containing no bleaches or alkalies) and mix it with a cup of lukewarm water. With a sponge, gently blot this solution into the carpet until the stain is lifted. Rinse the sponge and blot with cool, clean water. Dry by blotting the wet spot with a towel.
For big spills or stains, you can try a water-soluble paint thinner or remover, but you want to make sure it won't damage the fabric first. Before using any chemical, test it first in a hidden area. Prior to applying chemicals, however, do your best to clean up as much of the stain as you possibly can. If the stain is dry, see if you can scrape the paint off with a fingernail or brush. Be as gentle as possible as you don't want to pull up the fibers and cause bald spots in the carpet or worn spots in the upholstery. Try squeezing the dry paint with pliers to cause it to flake and fall off. Once this is done, vacuum the loose debris. You need to do this because the chemicals will turn dry paint liquid again. By removing as much dry paint as you can beforehand, you're reducing the amount of mess and additional staining that may result.
Because most staining materials are concentrated in the middle, it's a good idea to begin working on the stain from the outside in to prevent spreading once the stain turns liquid. Apply a small amount of the paint remover to the stain and blot gently with a cloth. Once the paint softens, see if you can lift it off with a butter or putty knife. If more paint remains, use a small amount of the paint remover and blot with a rag or sponge until the stain is lifted. If the paint remains, you can try saturating the stain with glycerin and leaving it for an hour or two before blotting with a clean cloth.
Once you've lifted as much paint as possible, blot with the dishwashing liquid solution until any residue disappears. Scrub with a brush and then blot with a towel. Flush entire area with a solution of one part vinegar to ten parts water. Blot and let dry.
If none of the above methods work, or if you'd rather not attempt this on your own, you could always contact a professional. Just be sure to exercise all your options before sentencing your carpet or furniture to spending eternity as landfill. Remember, it's much cheaper to spot clean a stain than to replace your living room set.

Asif, Amir in match-fixing allegations
pakistan’s fast bowlers, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif have been involved in match-fixing according to a tabloid in UK. It was reported by a tabloid that the two had been involved in a smaller, but equally criminal sub-plot that went by the name of spot-fixing in the fourth and the final Test match of the series between England and Pakistan.
The tabloid conducted a sting operation in which it is said to have paid a Mazhar Majeed on behalf of the players to get them to bowl no-balls in the fourth Test match. Majeed said that the bowlers will send down the first ball of the 3rd over and the last ball of the 10th over as no-balls. In the fourth Test match, that is how it panned out. Amir bowled a huge no-ball, which was followed by Asif bowling another no-ball in the tenth over.
